You should see a log entry in TFTP when you start the NVR showing the NVR 'testing' the TFTP tool. If that doesn't show, something in your setup is not correct. It's important that both the PC, with its IP address of 192.0.0.128, and the NVR, are both connected to live ports on a switch or router for the whole process.

So i can't use any file off the NVR to see the old password. I don't have any cams on latest firmware, so you may be right that they are using a different reset code now, but one easy mistake to make is to use the wrong date when generating the reset code. First, power cycle the camera. Then in the SADP program, check the startup date of the camera. Use that date in the reset code generator tool.
Basler. Disconnect product form the power source. Press and hold the reset button. Connect to power sourceback to device while holding the default button. Wait for 5 seconds and release the reset button. Wait approximately one minute for the camera to finish thereset process and to reboot.
